Terms & Conditions

Effective date: October 7, 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to the dog training services offered by Happy Paws Dog Training LA (“Happy Paws”) and to the website happypawsdtla.com. Happy Paws is owned and run by trainer Raquel. By booking a session or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not book services or use the website.

1. About Happy Paws

Happy Paws Dog Training LA is a Los Angeles dog training business based at 1148 West Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019. Raquel provides one-on-one dog training at clients’ homes, at nearby parks and public places, and by phone or video. You can reach Happy Paws at (323) 629-3767 or happypawsdtla@gmail.com.

2. Services

Happy Paws offers private, one-on-one dog training, which may include:

  • The One-Day In-Home Master Class.
  • Park and real-world follow-up sessions.
  • Puppy training packages with home visits.
  • Phone and virtual support between sessions.

The exact services, number of sessions, session length and support period for your dog are agreed with Raquel before training begins. Happy Paws does not offer board and train, daycare, boarding, group classes, service dog training or protection dog training.

3. Booking and Quotes

Quotes are given by phone after Raquel learns about your dog’s age, size, breed, behavior and location. A quote is based on the information you provide. If your dog’s needs turn out to be different once training begins, Raquel may recommend changes to the plan and will discuss any change in price with you first.

4. Payment

Will discuss on call .

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Raquel is the only trainer at Happy Paws, so a late cancellation leaves a time slot that another family could have used.

  • Please give at least [24 / 48] hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
  • Happy Paws may need to reschedule because of illness, emergencies, unsafe weather (including extreme heat) or other events outside its control. In that case, Raquel will offer a new time as soon as possible.

6. Your Responsibilities

To keep training safe and effective, you agree to:

  • Give complete and honest information about your dog, including any history of biting, growling, snapping, fighting with other dogs, fear or anxiety, health conditions and medications.
  • Keep vaccinations current. Your dog must be vaccinated against rabies as required by California law, and you agree to share proof of vaccination if asked.
  • Follow local laws, including leash and licensing rules in the City of Los Angeles and any other city where training takes place.
  • Be present for in-home sessions, along with any household members who will handle the dog, unless Raquel agrees otherwise.
  • Practice between sessions.Training results depend on daily practice and consistency at home.
  • Tell Raquel about any changes in your dog’s health or behavior during the training period.

7. Safety and Dogs with Bite History

Dog training, especially with reactive, fearful or aggressive dogs, involves some risk. For everyone’s safety:

  • Raquel may ask that a dog with a bite history or high bite risk wears a properly fitted basket muzzle during sessions, and may recommend a vet check before training begins.
  • Raquel may pause, change or end a session at any time if she believes the dog, people or other animals are at risk.
  • You remain responsible for your dog’s behavior at all times, including during and after training sessions.

8. No Guarantee of Results

Every dog is a living animal with its own history, health and temperament, and results depend heavily on how consistently the household follows the training plan. For this reason, Happy Paws cannot guarantee any specific outcome, timeline or permanent change in behavior. Raquel will always give you an honest view of your dog’s progress.

9. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability

By using Happy Paws services, you understand that working with dogs carries risks, including bites, scratches, falls and injuries to people, pets or property. To the fullest extent allowed by California law:

  • You accept these risks for yourself, your household and your dog.
  • You agree that Happy Paws and Raquel are not responsible for injury, illness, loss or damage caused by your dog, before, during or after training, except where caused by Raquel’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
  • You agree to be responsible for any claims made against Happy Paws or Raquel arising from your dog’s behavior.
  • Happy Paws’ total liability for any claim related to its services will not be more than the amount you paid for the service in question.

10. Health and Veterinary Advice

Raquel is a dog trainer, not a veterinarian. Training advice does not replace veterinary care. If your dog shows sudden behavior changes, signs of pain or illness, or aggression, please see your veterinarian.

11. Photos, Videos and Reviews

Raquel may take photos or short videos during sessions to track progress and to help explain techniques. With your permission, Happy Paws may share photos or videos of your dog on its website, Google Business Profile or social media. Your name, address and other personal details are never shared publicly without your consent. You can ask to have a photo or video removed at any time by contacting Happy Paws.

If you leave a review, you agree it reflects your genuine experience. Happy Paws publishes only real client reviews.
